L’archi-écriture d’une bi-langue chamoisienne
Abstract
In a bilingual context, Caribbean writers often resort to a distinctive style to revive the imaginary of the creole. Patrick Chamoiseu, in this prospect, chose to orient his resistance in and through language. By introducing orality in his text as well as adapting hybridity as a personal stylistic style, Chamoiseu showcases a dynamic form of writing true to its creole origins and attempts to update the creole language which was long dominated and oppressed by the French language.
