Based on archival documents and memoirs of contemporaries, the article expounds on the specifics of the creative and pedagogical activities of the talented graphic artist and painter A.N. Paramonov and reviews this master’s works created in the 1900s - 1920s. His active public position and innovative approaches to teaching determined his contribution to the development of the Yekaterinburg Industrial Art School. During the difficult period of the revolutionary transformations, the master remained faithful to the traditional teaching methods at the Yekaterinburg Free State Art Workshops (ESGHM) and the Ural Practical Art Institute (UKHPI). Thanks to the authority of A. Paramonov, the traditions of decorative and applied art were revived at the Ural Art College (UKHT). Being the leader of local artistic life, A.Paramonov united young painters and graphic artists around him, contributing to the formation of the Ural branch of the AHRR.
