The article discusses the possibility of hardening of stoichiometric hydroxyapatite (HAP) obtained by deposition from a solution by means of the partial substitution of hydroxyl groups with fluorine ions and the introduction of reinforcement additive (10, 15, 20 wt.% CaF2). The peculiarities of chemical interaction of HAP with the reinforcement additive during thermal treatment have been revealed. The effect of the phase composition on the strength characteristics of investigated samples has been shown.
