Indian's objects in the Mendoza's chambers at the end of the Middle Age
Abstract
The phenomenon of collecting American objects from the Hispanic society has attracted the interest of many researchers. However, most of the work result of this research focuses on the importance that, in the Spanish case, had from the reign of Carlos V. The present study deals with the presence of exotic objects from the American continent, its meaning and polysemy latent in his collection at the end of the reign of the Catholic Monarchs in the chambers of two members of the high nobility, two prominent members of the Mendoza family.
