This research provides an innovative analysis for the economics of the medium voltage transmission lines that used Covered Conductors (CCs). This research concentrates on the effect of numerical methodologies based on Genetic Algorithm (GA), Grey Wolf Optimization (GWO), and Satin Bowerbird Optimization (SBO) techniques to obtain the optimum Cross – Sectional Area (CSA) of CCs. This work reviews in detail the costs of medium voltage transmission systems and the methodology to link them with Kelvin's law as an effective procedure in obtaining the optimum cost and paving the way for the electric field reduction as a sequential result. This research aims to support the benefits of utilizing CCs in the transmission systems not only technically by enhancing the quality of the system but also, economically. A comparison is held with the available previous simulation and experimental data to investigate the feasibility and consistency of the proposed model with the proposed optimization techniques.
