Markers of Endothelial Damage, Inflammation, Oxidative and Cellular Stress in Patients with Coronary Artery Disease and Type 2 Diabetes

Abstract

Results of this study present the features of the severity of coronary atherosclerosis, evaluated by the Gensini score, depending on the presence of T2D (type 2 diabetes). The presence of T2D aggravates the course of coronary heart disease due to the more pronounced processes of inflammation, endothelial dysfunction, and oxidative and cellular stress.
