Abstract

Photography is the discipline that provides humanity with the first verisimilar image of reality and is the artistic practice that has promo-ted and consolidated the ideas of modernity, but it is also a tool that can tune us to the flow of time. What is the role of Photography in the creation of imagery? The text intends to give some food for thought on the current uncontrollable hyper-production of photo-realist images, which began with the technical reproducibility of the 19th century, and tries to find answers to the following question: in this bulimic fragmentation of images, how much space is left for one’s imagination?
