Abstract
hisreflection has as a main objective to inquire, analyzeand reflect about the role of the teacher in prison institution. For developing the work, wefocused in the role the teachers have in institutions such as a prison, with aninstitutionalismthat define and impose it conditioningthe educational practice. As well, we pose the challenge to implement strategies that let us to have a practice focused in DDHH. In this way, the question that emerges in the group were: what thoughts come to mind when we think of a prison? What are the fundamentals of education in prisons? What subject is constructed, and what role do they play, in the context of education in prisons?
