TRAINING THE CAPACITY TO USE WORDS TO DESCRIBE THE CHARACTERISTICS AND STATES OF EXPRESSING THE MEANING OF “SUPERLATIVE EXPRESSES” IN WRITING DESCRIPTIVE TEXT FOR STUDENTS IN GRADES 4, 5
Abstract
“Superlative expresses” is a class of words in the Vietnamese vocabulary, expressing the cognitive cultural characteristics of the Vietnamese people, commonly used in oral language and literature. Starting from the importance of using “superlative expresses” words in communication, the article aims to train primary students the ability to use this class of words in the process of practicing descriptive writing. From the theoretical basis of words describing the characteristics and states of expressing “superlative expresses” meaning and the current situation of using this class of words in descriptive writing of 4th and 5th grade students, the article proposed 4 measures to train students’ ability to use words to describe characteristics and states of “superlative expresses” meaning in practicing descriptive writing, including: 1. Focus on explaining words that describe properties and states of expressing “superlative expresses” meaning in teaching Vietnamese; 2. Enhance the expansion of vocabulary describing the nature and state of expressing “superlative expresses” meaning for students in the process of teaching Vietnamese; 3. Use words to describe properties and states that express “superlative expresses” meaning in practicing writing descriptive sentences and paragraphs; 4. Guide students to correct incorrect sentences in writing descriptive text using words that describe properties and states that express “superlative expresses” meaning.
