Présentation des hebdomadaires de langue galloise

Abstract

This paper will provide a brief overview of the historical development of Welsh and its current situation. After an analysis of the sociolinguistic history of Welsh over the last half millennium, the cultural habits of Welsh speakers, particularly with regard to television and reading, will be discussed, followed by a presentation of Welsh-language weekly newspapers and a brief synchronic study of the language.
