Distribución espacial de enfermedades seleccionadas en el municipio Centro Habana, 1993-1995
Abstract
Se propone utilizar el software MapInfo como Sistema de Información Geográfica (SIG) por los beneficios que ofrece, para conocer la distribución espacial y desarrollar el análisis de algunas enfermedades infecciosas en el municipio Centro Habana de Ciudad de La Habana, que presenta una compleja situación ambiental. Se seleccionaron las incidencias de tuberculosis, leptospirosis, sífilis y hepatitis. Se presentan diferentes mapas temáticos y gráficas, y se demuestra la gran utilidad e importancia de este SIG en la representación y el análisis de los datos de salud para ubicar las zonas de mayor riesgo y orientar las estrategias para minimizarlo e eliminarlo.It is proposed to use the MapInfo software as a Gegraphical Information System (GIS) due to the benefits it offers to know the spatial distribution and to develop the analysis of some infectious diseases in "Centro Habana" municipality, in Havana City, that presents a complex environmental situation. The incidences of tuberculosis, leptospirosis, syphilis and hepatitis are selected. Different thematic maps and graphs are included in this paper, and it is proved the great usefulness and importance of this GIS in the representation and analysis of the health data to locate the areas at higher risk and to suggest the strategies to reduce or erradicate them.
