Results The asymptomatic infections and mild cases accounted for the majority proportion of all infected persons in this wave of epidemic situation of Shanghai from April to May in 2022, which diagnosed as "dampness toxin mingles with wind", a kind of syndrome of TCM. Patients of 95.89% in this makeshift hospital used the "special disease treated with special prescription", which used Jingyin Gubiao Formula and a series of Chinese patent medicines for comprehensive treatment. The precise TCM treatment based on syndrome differentiation was used in 4.68% of refractory cases. Conclusion The strategy that special disease treated with special prescription and comprehensive treatment combined with individualized treatment of TCM is suitable for large scale of patients infected with COVID-19.
