In many parts of the world, the impact of open landfills on soils, the biosphere, and groundwater has become a major concern. This study was carried out on an uncontrolled landfill in the Tadla plain, Morocco’s main agricultural region. The study of physicochemical parameters of water resources sample suggests that the evaluation of water quality parameters as well as water quality management practices should be carried out periodically to protect water resources and, on the other hand, to confirm groundwater pollution due to a pollution plume. Physicochemical analyses of leachate were thus carried out in order to determine the leachate nature of the landfill
