The map-based hybrid channel model is one of the candidates for managing stochastic components above millimeter waves. This model has been used in technical reports published by several well-known standardization organizations. This paper compares simulation using the map-based hybrid channel model with measurements at 28 GHz urban microcell street canyon line-of-sight environment in terms of delay spread and angular spread. With a power threshold of −50 dB, the simulation results of delay spread and angular spread were in good agreement with the measurement results.
