The creation of modern production is impossible without the use of information measuring systems that allow optimizing production processes, increasing enterprise productivity and improving the quality of finished products by controlling a set of characteristic parameters. The study considered the issue of assessing the moisture content of manufactured products, which is a characteristic parameter that is decisive for the quality of finished products in many areas of industry. Without violating the generality of conclusions, the research is conducted on the basis of technological processes with evaporation. During its implementation, determining measurements are performed, the purpose of which is to carry out the calibration process based on test samples in order to create calibration tables, and control measurements carried out directly during the production process in order to adjust (according to the created tables) the influential controlled parameters to the value of the characteristic parameter. The study described the methodology of obtaining a relative grading characteristic for processes that directly or indirectly correspond to the subtraction model equation. The structural organization is given for grading the values of the characteristic parameter of the finished product depending on the size of the influential factors. The uncertainty of moisture estimation based on the results of the control measurement is analyzed. The study established that the presence of instrumental correlation leads to an increase in the estimation accuracy when using the subtraction operation. Moreover, with the increase in the difference between the input parameters, the accuracy of estimating the moisture content of the finished product also increases.
