Among the most harmful defects quality sawn Eucalyptus saligna Smith and Eucalyptus pellita F. Muell stand growth stresses. It´s manifested as cracks in the ends of the logs and pieces of lumber. The search for simple methods for reduction is of great importance for the development of forest policy. This research develops a set of methods to reduce the influence of internal stresses on the deformations growth of lumber. To which field data were taken from the two species studied, Eucalyptus saligna Smith and Eucalyptus pellita F. Muell to which different treatments were applied, such as: Ringing in the ends of the logs and logs with irrigation storage, taking as its starting point a standard or control for comparison. The results show that the treatments used possible to reduce internal stresses in the wood growth of Eucalyptus saligna Smith and Eucalyptus pellita F. Muell highlighting the logs stored in irrigated where you get the best results.
