Abstract
Communicate knowledge generated in research institutions is a communicational act inherent in the scientific process, is an act of diffuse scientific information so the scientific community can develop and deepen that knowledge - dissemination, but also that society can become aware of the role of those knowledges in improving their quality of life - divulgation. In this sense, both the spread, as the spread of science communication practices are relevant to this diffusion. This article discusses these practices, bypassing a debate and positioning related to science and technology, some of its historical and theoretical perspectives. From this input we intend to establish some conceptualizations so the field research can be better availed. It starts from the assumption that the dissemination of science in the media can build a culture of assimilation of scientific information among population in general. As a problem of reflection, we put into question the scientific divulgation at the expense of serving massive recurrent themes related to the current crisis in the brazilian government and the presidential elections. From this context, the nature of this work is based on a theoretical and a critical reflection about the process of disseminating scientific knowledge on the presence of massive political and electoral issues in the media in general. The procedure can be characterized as a work of literature review. This work is contained in studies that have been conducted by the research group Media and Dissemination of Science and Technology, linked to CAPES.
