Adsorption technology is one of the antimony pollution control technologies with great development potential. In recent years, the removal of heavy metal antimony from printing and dyeing wastewater by adsorption method has been studied. The adsorption properties of common adsorption materials such as carbon-based materials, inorganic materials and polymer materials were evaluated, and the interaction between antimony and different functional groups was analyzed. The results show that inner complexation, hydrogen bonding and redox reaction are the main mechanisms of antimony adsorption. It is considered that biochar and inorganic mineral materials have broad potential application prospects as antimony adsorbents, and the research direction of the application of adsorption technology in antimony removal is prospected.
