Kaliningrad region was the westernmost region of the Soviet Union and now is the westernmost region of the Russian Federation, which is reflected on the specifics of settlement area – quite a large percentage of military personnel, which eliminates the possible manifestations of separatism in the region due to the "isolation" from the rest of Russia. Analysis of migration flows Kaliningrad region showed migration communication in both directions with Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Armenia and Ukraine, but it does not with Poland, Lithuania, Belarus and Germany, whose territory before World War II and was the Kaliningrad region. In the future, we can predict the establishment of migration flows with Belarus, Lithuania, Poland and Germany, but it is rather a long-term forecast, rather than a short-term and medium-term. To optimize the development of migration flows author recommends that you install air service of the type «low-cost» of the major cities of Russia in Kaliningrad, the active promotion of the information space of Russia and the CIS countries the image of the Kaliningrad region as an amber edge, the development of SEZ «Yantar» and various regional programs Euro-region, which is a member of the Kaliningrad region.
