How pandemic has changed the perspective of our homes, what architects need to know: The case of sustainable hybrid houses
Abstract
In 2019, a pandemic changed aspects of people's daily lives. The importance of this article is the welfare of residents in emergency situations such as epidemics. A questionnaire was collected quantitatively included the following components: telecommuting, flexibility of spaces, combined houses and details affecting the performance of the building. The data were analyzed using Friedman, Mean, and ANOVA test. In the variance (ANOVA), the sum of squares of the epidemic is about (n = 29.206), which ranks high compared to other sectors. The results indicate that there are two types of flexible hybrid houses: the first type is hybrid and extension prefabricated houses that consume less time and cost during construction. The second type is the hybrid houses designed by architects. Respondents believe that hybrid homes can provide the spaces needed for remote work and save parameters such as time and cost, and reduce air pollution that is the result of telecommuting.
