The process of creating models used by architect Richard Meier has great significance in the general architectural design of projects. Each model comes with a story about organizational principles, by handling internal space, which are based on geometric shapes, grids, proportions that should be exactly considered and calculated through models and tests taking into account intangibles such as light. The wonderful aesthetics and shapes of Meier work lie in the realization of an abstract idea in an endless number of models. Through the analysis of models of Richard Meier, can be concluded that the layout process of Meier exists as an initial gesture besides drawings in the architectural design process; there is not improvise in ideas to generate it and models are not only essential communicative elements but creating.
