VOLYN ETHNIC COSTUME IN SHAPING UKRAINIAN FASHION

Abstract

The purpose of the work. Investigation of the preconditions and factors of the formation of the ethnic Volyn costume, a description of the use of Volyn ethnic motifs in the formulation of modern Ukrainian clothing. Research methodology. The scientific works devoted to the history, sociology, history of the art of the Volyn costume and the design of a modern Ukrainian costume are considered. Methods of socio-cultural, art criticism, aesthetic and structural-compositional analysis are used. Visual research method applied. The scientific novelty of the work is to outline the topical issues of the Ukrainian ethnodizaina, as a type of art project that is based on the artistic principles of the authentic Volyn costume and innovative clothing design technologies. The results of the ethnodizaine research as a reflection of the Volyn ethnic costume in the formation of the modern Ukrainian fashion industry, and in particular the possibility of implementing volyn ethnostyle traditions in the development and production of various types of contemporary Ukrainian clothing, are presented. Conclusions. The trends of recent years have been the return to the ethnic Volyn costume, combined with modern fashion trends of clothing and leading technologies. Ethnic Volyn motifs are reflected on examples of creative collections of Ukrainian fashion designers.
