Abstract

The item offers the major basic ideas of a research into social-helping activity as a tool to resolve social issues, to change the social situation, as well as to stabilize the social the social well-being in the public. There is also a view provided on the general scientific stance regarding a holistic approach to viewing social-helping activity as a system; there are criteria and indicators defined that are to be used for investigating the intrasystem interaction of its components; there is also a view on the general trend in the research practice within social-helping activity as a complex object that takes mutually complementary methodological approaches.
