Ritorni a Los trabajos de Persiles y Sigismunda
Abstract
Miguel de Cervantes’ last book, published posthumously, Los trabajos de Persiles y Sigismunda (1617) has been considered a ‘Byzantine novel’; recently it has been studied from a different perspective that includes the direct knowledge of the Greek novel and the neoclassical projection of the first years of the XVII century. This new perspective of investigation offers readers and researchers new viewpoints and different hermeneutic links. Miguel Alarcos Martínez, versant in classical philology and modern literature, reads book in a new critical way.
