This article takes the flotation tailings of a high sulfur lead-zinc mine in Inner Mongolia as the research object. XRD and BPMA automatic process mineralogical analysis systems are used to analyze the mineral composition of the tailings, and experimental research is conducted on the comprehensive recovery of pyrite through activated flotation. The results showed that using concentrated sulfuric acid as an activator, ethyl xanthate and isoamyl xanthate as a combination collector, and adopting a flotation process of “one coarse, one sweep, and two fine”, a concentrate product with a yield of 9.31% and a sulfur grade of 37.78% can be obtained, and the sulfur recovery rate in the concentrate can reach 77.13%; The comprehensive recovery and utilization of sulfur in the original flotation tailings have been achieved.
