Role Character in the Subjective Structure of Evgeny Kropivnitsky’s Lyrics
Abstract
The article focuses on E. Kropivnitsky’s role lyrics, analyzing it in the context of “self” and “other” correlation. The author proves that, despite the multitude and outward diversity of the characters, the lyrics is not particularly thematically or narratively diverse: there is no direct correlation between subject’s personal characteristics and social role, on the one hand, and the nature of his or her self-analysis, on the other hand. No matter how diverse Kropivnitsky’s characters are (be it a young girl, or an animal prepared for slaughter), usually their voices do not aspire to be autonomous from the author’s “self”, which becomes a limit of an alien, but essentially “close” conscious.
