Fenton is one the advenced and simple oxidative processes in the use of effluent treatment. The objetctive was to propose the use of Fenton in domestic effluent aiming at the maximum efficiency of removal of pollutants of environmental interest. After the beaker was placed on a magnetic stirrer, ferrous sulfate (6.95 g L -¹ Fe ²+) was added and 20 ul of the effluent was placed in a beaker, 2 mL 36% hydrogen peroxide, shake for 1minute and allow to stand for hours. After standing, adjust the to 7 and remove an aliquot for determination of COD, color and turbidity. It was concluded that domestic sewage treatment in COD parameters proved to be efficint in the reference sample pH² where it reduced 76.9% in comparison to the crude collected value of 188 mg/L, since the turbidity there was a difference between the values of pH² and pH³ due to the acid difference between the components.
