This article attempts to analyse the rela- tionships between daughters and fathers in three novels of the French-speaking Belgian writer Corinne Hoex: Le Grand Menu (2001), Ma robe n’est pas froissée (2008) and Le Ravissement des femmes (2012). It studies the emotional mechanisms used by the fathers to oppress their daughters, who are fascinated by them at the same time. On the other hand, it focuses on the im- portance of the personal spaces as a means to develop these unhealthy relationships as well as their potential liberation.
