This analysis shows a Bulgarian cultural situation that is intensely shaped by two turns of the century (from the end of the 19th to the beginning of the 21st). Linked to historical transformations, the development of modern Bulgarian literature is also determined by the presence of a conflict involving various elements which is repeated today: the tension between the “young” and the “old” generation.
