Speed Measurement System for Mine Locomotive Based on UWB

A design scheme for mine locomotive speed measurement system based on UWB was proposed. The overall architecture of the system is introduced. Aiming at the one-dimensional linear space of the mine, the card reader adopts the dual radio frequency module design based on TOA measurement method. At the same time, a ranging module and a monitoring module are set to achieve accurate positioning and direction identification of the locomotive. The single ranging time is short. The principle of locomotive speed measurement based on wireless positioning is analyzed, and the hardware and software design of card reader and car card are introduced in detail. The test results show that the error of locomotive speed measurement is controlled within 2%, which meets the field speed measurement application.
