This article considers features of the transformation of the feuilleton genre within post-revolutionary newspaper discourse. The author examines feuilletons by P. Ya. Blinovsky, who gained popularity with the Yekaterinburg press before the Revolution of 1917 and published articles in the newspapers Uralsky Rabochiy, Uralskaya Nov’ and their supplements after the Revolution. The article studies the features underlying the image of the persona of feuilletons, the artistic techniques used by the feuilletonist in his post-revolutionary creative work as compared to his prerevolutionary works. Blinovsky’s creative activity is shown in the context of his biography, for which the author considers archival data: the life and creative path of Blinovsky between 1914 and 1922 which was full of activity both on the personal and creative levels. Blinovsky attempts to return to his reader, but at a new historical stage, choosing a new pseudonym, changing his artistic language. The demand for the practical use of the feuilleton remains unchanged. During the Soviet era, the creative experience of feuilletonists was not studied enough, Blinovsky’s experience as an author of feuilletons in Uralsky Rabochiy was forgotten. Nevertheless, Blinovsky’s poetic feuilletons can serve as an example of the use of pre-revolutionary artistic techniques in the Soviet era. The experience of P. Ya. Blinovsky was rare for the Yekaterinburg press, his poetic texts were in demand both before and after the Revolution of 1917 in newspapers that adhered to various political programmes. At the same time, his poetic feuilletons remained relevant for the contemporaries, while at the same time alleviating the experience of the traumatic transition to a new sociopolitical system. Therefore, the features of adaptation of the artistic language of the feuilleton to the new realities of the Soviet press should be studied in detail.
