This article deals with the economic and social changes and their effects on the restructuring of urban spatiality because of foreign investments on a global scale in local spaces. It analyzes these processes in peripheral economies of the countries of South-South axis, which are being impacted in different ways by the processes of globalization. Two urban spaces are taken as reference for the empirical analysis - Vitoria, Espírito Santo-Brazil-South America and Tete-Tete Province-Mozambique-Africa - although apparently very different and distant in time and space, they keep some similarity in terms of processes of changes on a global scale.
