The second part of this series outlines different techniques which can be implemented by surgeons during ectopic canine exposure to initiate mobilisation and reviews multiple adverse outcomes including the phenomenon of ankylosis. Finally we present locally achieved outcomes to demonstrate success when adhering to principles evolved with consideration to the embryological processes in tooth eruption.
