Une lecture critique de l’histoire de la bande dessinée entre invisibilisation et exclusion : le cas des autrices en France

Abstract

Despite the talk of their recent appearance, women are not new to comic books - either as readers or writers. Although they have been present since the beginnings of the medium, the modalities of their participation have partly contributed to the erasure of their work and how they continue to structure this space to this day.This article proposes to historicize the gendered organization of the world of comic books in order to better understand how these mechanisms make it possible to affirm both the specificity of women's creation, as well as to invisibilize their anteriority, while at the same time clearing the professional actors of the field of the mechanisms of gendered hierarchies at work.
