RANCANG BANGUN ALAT PRAKTIKUM VISKOMETER BERBASIS ARDUINO
Abstract
Telah dilakukan rancang bangun viskometer sebagai alat praktikum fisika untuk menentukan koefisien viskositas zat cair. Prinsip kerja viskometer menggunakan metode bola jatuh bebas berdasarkan konsep hukum Stokes. Rancang bangun viskometer meliputi beberapa tahap yaitu perancangan perangkat keras, perancangan perangkat lunak, perancangan sistem mekanik, dan pengujian kinerja viskometer. Perancangan perangkat keras terdiri dari sensor inframerah, tombol push button, arduino, LCD, dan catu daya. Perancangan perangkat lunak menggunakan pemrograman bahasa C# berbantuan compiler IDE arduino. Perancangan mekanik terdiri dari penyangga, induksi magnet, katrol, tabung kaca, tali, dan beban. Sedangkan pengujian kinerja viskometer dilakukan dengan mengukur koefisien viskositas gliserin dan oli. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan viskometer yang telah dikembangkan mampu mengukur koefisien viskositas gliserin sebesar 1,07 Pa.s dengan kesalahan relatif sebesar 11,57% dan koefisien viskositas oli mesin sebesar 1,57 Pa.s dengan kesalahan relatif sebesar 1,14%. A design of arduino-based viscometer as physics practicum tool has been conducted to determine coefficient of viscosity of liquid materials. The operational principle of viscometer used free falling ball based on Stokes concept. The construction covered some phases, such as designing hardware, designed software, designing the mechanic system, and testing viscometer’s performance. Hardware construction covered infrared sensor, push button, arduino, LCD, and power supply. Software construction covered language programing C# assisted with arduino IDE compiler. Mechanic construction covered refutation, magnetic induction, pulley, glass tube, rope, and load. Meanwhile, performance testing of viscometer was done through measuring viscosity coefficient of glycerin and oil. The result showed that the developed viscometer was able to measure the viscosity of glycerin that reached in which its relative error was and the oil viscosity coefficient reached in which its relative error was 1,14%. .
