Study of amorphous ferromagnetic microwires in a glass shell before and after heat treatment under different conditions was performed by X-ray diffraction and Mössbauer spectroscopy. In the initial state, such microwires are of magnetically soft materials and show the effect of magnetic impedance used to create highly sensitive sensors. After procedure of the directional solidification, wires with a high cobalt content have hard magnetic properties and can serve as permanent magnets in devices of Microsystem engineering and other applications. To identify the processes occurring at transformation of the wire substances from amorphous to nano- and/or microcrystalline state, it was studied features of the wire structure.
