Children’s Rights in Migration Processes from Morocco to Spain
Abstract
The migration of children poses a constant challenge for Social Work engaged in advancing toward greater social intervention by providing assistance in prevention, promotion, and reinsertion processes. The article addresses the difficulties faced by minors in the migration process between Morocco and Spain. Likewise, it highlights the need to create a cross-border social assistance system that guarantees their Human Rights. This system involves the intervention through Child Protection Units managed by professionals in Social Work. The experiences of the research team throughout several development cooperation projects form the basis of the paper.
