We investigated the microcirculatory blood flow (MBF) to various chambers of the heart by laser doppler flowmetry in 32 elderly patients with aortic stenosis (AS), as well as with AS in conjunction with coronary heart disease (CHD). The aim of the study was to assess the state of MBF in the walls of various chambers of the heart in patients older than 60 years with AS without atherosclerotic coronary lesions, as well as against the background of atherosclerotic coronary arteries. It was found out that the state of MBF in the walls of various chambers of the heart in patients with AS against the background of atherosclerotic coronary pathology is characterized by the lowest flow rate of microcirculation in the walls of the left atrium and left ventricle as compared with patients with AS without coronary artery lesions.
