As an important intermediate link connecting the upstream refinery and the downstream market, the product oil pipeline network will have serious effect on oil supply if an accident occurs. Due to the complexity of the operation process of the product oil pipeline network, a comprehensive and systematic research system for the reliability analysis of product oil pipeline network has not yet been formed. For this reason, the relevant research progress of the reliability analysis of product oil pipeline was summarized from the two aspects, i.e. the reliability calculation of equipment unit and the reliability modeling of system in the product oil pipeline network, and the challenges faced during the research were sorted. Meanwhile, deep analysis was made to the research approach, evaluation methods and calculation methods of crude oil pipeline network, natural gas pipeline network, urban water supply pipeline network, heat supply pipeline network and power supply pipeline network, expecting to provide reference for the further research on reliability analysis of product oil pipeline network.
