ISSUES CONCERNING THE GOLF COURSES IN ROMANIA

Abstract

Golf tournaments are organised by independent institutions responsible for finding sponsors and defining specific rules for each tournament, and they provide a good development of these competitions. Generally, these tournaments have "members" with the right to participate but non-members are also invited to take part into the competition. Golf is a very popular sport in the world. In the US, the UK, Ireland, Austria, Australia, South Africa, Korea and Japan, a significant percentage of the population practice golf.
