Research progress in sonar dome turbulent boundary layer wall fluctuating pressure
Abstract
A sonar dome structure mounted on the bulb of a high-speed ship vibrates under Turbulent Boundary Layer (TBL) wall pressure fluctuation and radiates noise inward. As this is the main component of sonar self-noise, the accurate description of TBL wall pressure fluctuation is the basis for sonar dome self-noise impact assessment, sonar dome vibration attenuation and noise reduction design. First, the progress of the wall pressure experiment method, semi-experiment models and numerical simulation methods for the fluctuating wall pressure power spectrum are introduced; concerning the characteristics of the fluctuating wall pressure power spectrum in transitional regions, the scale problem of the scale model test is introduced.Second, aiming at the scale problem of wall pressure fluctuation, the scaling law of wall pressure fluctuation and its development from model scale test to full scale application is summarized, and the general conditions for research into the artificial transition method are introduced (the crucial method for load similarity in scale model tests). Finally, the outlook for the application of the artificial transition method in similar sonar dome TBL fluctuating wall pressure load research is obtained.
