There are two half-molecules in the asymmetric unit of the title compound, [Cu3(C13H9N2O3)2(C5H5N)4], and crystallographic inversion symmetry completes each trinuclear molecule. In both molecules, the central Cu atom (site symmetry overline{1}) adopts a distorted trans-CuO2N4 octahedral geometry, arising from its coordination by two N,O-bidentate aroylhydrazine ligands and two pyridine molecules. The peripheral Cu atoms adopt trans-CuN2O2 square-planar coordinations arising from an N,O,O-tridentate ligand (that also bonds to the central Cu atom) and a pyridine molecule.
