Synergistic catalysis occurring in an enzyme pocket shows enhanced performance through supramolecular recognition and flexibility. Here the authors design an enzyme-mimic strategy to develop a Co(II) metal-metalloporphyrin gel with excellent synergistically catalytic performance and chemo/stereo selectivity.
