SAÚDE MENTAL EM TEMPOS DE CRISE: desafios da e na atualidade
Abstract
The article analyzes the challenges posed to Mental Health within the scope of the SUS in the context of the crisis of capitalism and of the State's counter-reforms, which have been straining and confronting the achievements of the Psychiatric Reform and the Anti-Asylum Movement. The setbacks reveal the biomedical centrality with the strengthening of the asylum and hospital-centered logic linked to conservative practices, occurring in this sense, an inversion of the psychosocial care model, especially in the field of care for alcohol and other drugs, with repercussions on the production of care. This time is marked by the worsening of the Covid-19 pandemic, the defense of democracy, life, and care in freedom. It is a conceptual analytical discussion based on the legal and normative framework of the Mental Health Policy correlated with the specialized literature on the subject.
