Use of Electronic Documents during the Formation of Funds of Personal Origin: Historiographical Aspect

Abstract

The purpose of the study is to analyze research literature which was published in Ukraine, on the use of electronic documents in the formation of archival funds of personal origin.The research methodology is based on the systematic and combined use of scientific principles and methods. The principles of historicism, objectivity, systematicity, comprehensiveness, were applied to conduct the research, as well as the methods of bibliographic heuristics, analysis and synthesis, comparison and generalization, which made it possible to identify a range of research works which address the issue of using electronic documents in the formation of funds of personal origin, and to analyze their content. The scientific novelty is in the analysis of scientific literature deals with the use of documents of personal origin in electronic form during the formation of personal archival funds. It was found that recently a lot of attention has been paid to the issue of ensuring the conditions for the functioning of an electronic document and the implementation of electronic document circulation, but there are almost no studies focusing on the problem of forming archival funds with documents of personal origin in electronic form. Conclusions. The reviewed research literature testifies to the inadequacy and fragmentation of the issues related to the completing the archives with documents of personal origin in electronic form and their permanent storage in archival institutions. Today, researchers mainly consider the technical aspects of the problem, while it requires a comprehensive study. The problem of creating funds of personal origin in electronic form is urgent and requires further thorough and comprehensive research, as well as studying the experience of developed countries in Europe and the world. This will allow to improve the regulatory and legal framework for the wide use of electronic documents in the formation of funds of personal origin in archival institutions of Ukraine.
