Pathogenetic mechanisms of the relationship between reproductive dysfunction in men with arterial hypertension and lipid metabolism
Abstract
Background. Male infertility refers to multifactorial diseases that have been studied quite deeply and the role of arterial hypertension and lipid metabolism in the mechanism of its development has not been studied at all. The purpose of the study is to evaluate the functional features of seminal fluid spermatozoa and the lipid spectrum of blood serum to identify the pathogenetic mechanisms underlying male infertility in hypertension. Materials and methods. The data of the initial examination of the patient and the signing of informed consent for the study are reflected in the outpatient card. Criteria for inclusion in the study: the absence of pregnancy in the spouses during the year of married life together, obtaining seminal fluid in the sterility room and timely evaluation of spermograms, counting and issuing conclusions, studying lipid metabolism in blood serum. The patients were divided into 2 groups: the control group and the comparison group. Results. The qualitative and quantitative composition of seminal fluid has been established. In the control group, the quality of sperm in men was within normal parameters. In the comparison group, a decrease in the total number of spermatozoa, a decrease in their mobility and an increase in the percentage of abnormal spermatozoa were found in men with arterial hypertension in sperm. Lipid metabolism in the control group: “normolipidemia” was in 56 % of men and dyslipoproteidemia in 44 %. In the group with arterial hypertension (comparison group), 80 % of men had dyslipoproteidemia and normolipidemia in 20 % of infertile men. Conclusions: impaired reproductive function in men with arterial hypotension is associated with an increase in serum triglycerides and an increase in the amount of triglycerides in high-density lipoproteins.
