Helicopters are vulnerable to a variety of ground-to-air/air-to-air weapons during low-altitude operations. Short-range launched RPGs and missiles with increasingly strong anti-jamming capabilities have posed a great challenge to the traditional “soft kill” protection system composed of infrared decoy bombs and laser directional jamming. Therefore, there is an urgent need for active protection system with “hard kill” capabilities. In order to study the key technologies for implementing helicopter active protection systems, the deve-lopment status and trends of foreign helicopter active interception systems are analyzed. On this basis, key technologies such as the real-time detection and warning technology for incoming threats, high-precision interception fire control technology, precise control and rapid response interception munition design technology are analyzed.
