Abstract

Read online

Here, in the Libro de Alexandre, we are interested in two of the situations that imply the move from text to work: the ways in which a thematic sequence is developed, and the activation of elements potentially registered in the roots of what will become a text. The transformation of the poetic weaving of the Libro de Alexandre will be commented on, from its first threads to its complex texture and particular attention will be paid to the renewal of the text provided by miniatures. The notes that follow thus concern the intellectual plot on which the text is based, most likely written between 1200 and 1225, as well as on the textual and visual interweaving that the work offered its audience at the end of the 13th century.
