The paper describes the current state of developing pedagogical mastership of vocational training masters in vocational colleges. The author ascertains their attitude towards development of this professional quality in career development system. Data cross–tabulation of the survey has discovered the existence of fundamental differences between men and women-masters of vocational training in terms of their own professional activity, as well in their own professional development. This determines the necessity of individual approach realization in the process of development of their pedagogical mastership in improvement of professional skills cycle. The paper displays the range of contradictions in improvement of professional skills in the system of master’s vocational training in vocational colleges connected with the development of their pedagogical mastership.
