A new Schiff base ester, 4-{[(4-chlorophenyl)imino]methyl}-3-hydroxyphenyl 4-(hexadecanoyloxy)benzoate was synthesized and its IR, <sup>1</sup>H-NMR, <sup>13</sup>C-NMR and MS spectroscopic data are presented.
